Project background SIA Hansa Training is a newly established vocational education organisation in Latvia (preparing fire safety, work safety specialists, accountants and office managers, and is planning to prepare certified guides and nannies). To improve and expand its operations, SIA Hansa Training wants to send its staff for a work placement and job observation in Germany, to educational cooperative coneed eG. Objectives: Project has following objectives: 1) to get to know vocational education system in Germany, to exchange experiences with similar vocational education organisation in Germany; 2) to get acquainted with the process of developing education programmes and their contents; 3) to improve teaching methods and forms at SIA Hansa Training. Number and profile of participants 3 staff members and 6 teachers will take part in the work placement. Activities Project will entail following activities: - Preparation for mobilities: informing participants, preparation, arrangement of practical issues (reservation of hotels, booking of flight tickets, etc), contracting with participants. - Mobilities: 9 persons in total, 6 of them teachers and 2 staff members, will do a staff work placement in educational cooperative coneedeG, Germany (Bad Zwischenahn). Staff members will take pat in the job observation for management and administration work, and teachers will do the job observation of coneed eG teacher performance. -Project evaluation: reports from participants, reporting, reporting at management meeting and taking decisions about the best practice to be implemented in Latvia. Dissemination activities. Metodology Project is of simple design, including 3 main activities: preparation, mobilities and evaluation. Project management will be ensured by the director of the company. Mobilities for all participants will take place at the same time, but they wil lbe divided at place by the contents, where the staff members will do the job observation for management and administration activities and teachers will observe the teachers' performance at coneed eG. Results During the project, its participants will get the knowledge about: - vocational education system in Germany, especially about dual system and about connections of education with the labor market; -knowledge and skills, how to make the cooperation with other professional education institutions, employers organisations and branch associations; - in the course of experience exchange, new knoweldge will be acquired how to develop new education programmes and their contents; - how to establish educational cooperatives and their benefits; - will get the experience about new teaching methods and forms; - will get knowledge about how to monitor students learning progress and to evaluate their learning work results, including ECVET system, - there will be new contacts established and a new opportunities for future cooperation discussed; Participants also will get acquainted with German culture, education traditions and Oldenberg' s region. Long term benefits The best practice from Germany will be evaluated and implemented in SIA Hansa Training, therefore stimulating quality of vocational education, improving methods and especially promoting cooperation with the employers organisations and branch associations, which will help to connect the vocational education at SIA Hansa Training with the needs of labor market,therefore giving opportunities for SIA Hansa Training students to get profound education in future. New contacts and cooperation will stimulate the growth of SIA Hansa Training in international arena.
