Shipping to Health
Start date: Jun 23, 2014,
End date: Dec 22, 2014
The Shipping to Health youth exchange will be realized between the 22nd and the 30th of July, 2014 at Agárd. The groups of 5 participants and one group leader will arrive from 6 countries (Estonia, Poland, United Kingdom, Germany, France and Hungary). During the project's 9 days, the participants will realize more than one project about sports and a healthy lifestyle. It was an international group of young people who decided on organizing the exchange, after realizing that the behavior towards junk-food, sports and the collection of waste is very similar in their home environments.
Bacease of this, we are organizing a youth exchange for youngsters between 13-18 years, who will be able to learn more about living a healthy lifestyle which you can't find in the muscles and the stomach alone, but also in the creative mind and the heart.
During the week of the exchange, the youngsters will learn to create sports equipment from "waste", they will do sports and yoga together and create a flashmob with bicycles to promote selective waste collection and healthy lifestyles among the ones living in Agárd - we will even create an exhibition about these values. After the exchange the participants will bring home the things they learned here and with the help of their friends and the local NGOs, the youngsters can start creating their colorful waste bins in their area.
