Share Your Colors project is a long term project which consists of a youth exchange and its mission is to combat hate-speech and social exclusion of LGBTQIA+ people while promoting active citizenship through campaigning. It will involve 40 young people coming from Greece, Lithuania, Latvia, Portugal, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and Bulgaria. The project aims :- to involve directly 40 people mobilities with fewer opportunities in the APV and in the youth exchange coming from 8 European countries and organizations which work directly with the LGBTIQA+ community in their youth field.- to increase the competences of the 40 mobilities during the main activity- to launch an online collaborative awareness-raising campaign on Facebook for LGBTQIA+ youth age between 15-30 during the youth exchange of the project and beyond.Participants will be coming from the LGBTQIA+ and heterosexual community, they have established their identity and are in need to explore new ways and actions of promoting the LGBTQIA+ rights in their countries. We will work with media, social media and raising-awareness tools, campaigning, as the main working method throughout the whole project. Participants will come together, exchange, learn by doing, they will constantly reflect upon their learning process and outcomes.We view Share Your Colors as a unique project, which will have a profound impact to all the individuals participating directly and indirectly to the project. It will achieve its mission by engaging young people into active participation in their societies, starting from the local communities to national and reaching a European level.This impact will be achieved through the results that we will create and actively spread which are : on line campaign which will last beyond the end of the project to keep spreading its message, publication on how to work with media and social media as awareness-raising tools for LGBTQIA+ rights, additional raising-awareness activities in their countries, short documentary video about the exchange.The potential longer term benefits out of the project and the results of it, we aim to be that people become aware of their usage of social media and how it affects other people's lives, that there is social inclusion, tolerance, no hate-speech and no discrimination towards the LGBTQIA+ community and that people in their own countries become active citizens and influence the civil society.
