services, proximité, vie locale : des champs professionnels déclinés en Belgique pour une immersion culturelle, linguistique et professionnelle réussie
Start date: Dec 31, 2014, End date: Dec 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project addresses students aged 18 to 20, who are attending the terminal class, that is the last year of the of three-year course leading to the level called baccalauréat Service de Proximité et Vie Locale (SPVL : Community services and local life) This vocational baccalauréat trains students to intervene in two areas of activity: G1 - area : management of spaces open to public A1 - area : support activities and integration assistance Periods of work placement must take place in places open to the public or centres for social and employment integration or personal assistance centres. Immersion in a foreign country will enable students to develop their skills on an individual and collective level and incorporate a transnational dimension in their vocational training. In addition, an internship abroad will enable these students to regain their desire for learning, to promote their subsequent employability or further study. The 6 selected students are essentially a female and disadvantaged public , in fact , indicators of socio- professional category show that over 41% of the students are part of the very lower classes and that more than 40% receive governmental financial help. Predominantly with a migrant (African) background, often seen in the French school system as having failed academically , having at least repeated once (often at primary school) , so they reflect the image of early school failure and are therefore mostly unmotivated and reluctant to traditional school learning. They are much more receptive to professional learning. They need concrete actions that enhance and restore their desire for learning . The ERASMUS project will allow them out of their social origin and show them a cultural and entrepreneurial reality different from what they may experience in France . Students will be in the workplace for five weeks , they will be placed in structures that are either A1 or G1 area, under the supervision of a tutor. The monitoring will be carried out with regular visits of a teacher of the lycée acting as a mentor- starting , intermediate and final visits- . For both formative and summative evaluation , the official academic evaluation charts of SPVL baccalauréat will be used. There will be a joint validation by the tutor and the teacher acting as a mentor. Expected results and impact will be developed internally : - during the internship : photo reportage in the school and on the website , returning from training publication of the reports written by the teachers (mentors), accounts given by the trainees, and externally : - with a final conference open to all the lycée to integrate the European dimension in the school project, by awarding bachelor's degrees and EUROPRO and Europass Mobility certificates in the presence of family, tutors, elected , institutional partners. - information campaigns targeted at the surrounding schools, participating in their own information days for college pupils, or in pupil counselling forums organized by the government of Paris should identify the lycée Jacques Monod as a school opening up to Europe and, a new aset after the labeling as a lycée des métiers awarded by the French Ministry of Education. information campaigns targeted at structures of the social sector affected by this baccalauréat will make possible long-term partnerships with transnational structures More generally, the Lycée Jacques Monod will not only be perceived favorably as a lycée des métiers specializing in health and social careers, but also as a European -oriented school .
