We are two Primary School teachers enabling English. Our school welcome 180 pupils aged from 3 to 11. English is taught till the beginning. We wish to take part to a language study project to Malta, from July 13 to 24. First of all because we have the idea to start a school correspondence with a Maltese establishment and secondly because Malta will be European Capiltal of Culture in 2018. We agree that to learn a new language makes sense in the meeting and exchanges that follow. Language is part of learning and a way to communicate. Thanks to an intercultural sensitization, we want to offer good opportunities for children to be part of the European community. This linguistic stay will allow us to improve English, to join a human training and to gain personal fulfilment. With a regular use of e-twinning, our pupils will adopt new numerical habilities . The creation of a CD with pictures and documents about the differences of calendar feasts in the two countries will close our project. Communicated to the families, this CD will promote multilinguism and offer a cultural opening to our school.
