Start date: Jan 1, 2016, End date: Aug 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

"Seeyou@nature: moving forward" is multilateral youth exchange for young people in Finland, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain. that was bornin the seminar I Can Do It in Metsäkartanio, and was followed by a double exchange in Finland and Holland (seeyou@nature)The partnership between Metsäkartano, Finland and Welzijn Stede Broec – social-cultural centre ‘t Stadsplein, Netherlands started in2013 as it became clear that both organizations are working on inclusion projects. In March 2014 the idea for this project was bornon the seminar ‘I Can Do It!’ on inclusion of young people with disabilities, in Metsäkartano Finland. The project contains apreparatory visit and 2 youth exchanges during the year 2016The youth exchanges target young people with fewer opportunties from both partners’ local networks and cooperation in 4countries. It will bring together 24 young people and their leaders for 2 separate events working in a natural environment on thetopics of personal leadership, more specifically on identity, self-confidence and competence development. The topics andmethodology will be amended and specified to the needs and wishes of the young people in the preparation and application phase. The project aims to provide opportunities for young people to develop their personal competence, independence and selfawarenessthrough intercultural exchange. We foresee this to happen through the following objectives:• To involve, engage and motivate young people to take part in new kinds of learning processes (youth exchanges) and learntogether with others• To host opportunities for intercultural exchange to happen amongst included and excluded and vulnerable young people.• To provide possibilities for young people to learn more about opportunities to become international (i.e. European voluntaryservice) as a learning goal from local level meetings and the youth exchanges.• To create a space where young people are encouraged to work on their personal leadership competences, their independence andtheir employability.Topic of the youth exchanges is Personal Leadership and Empowerment.Working on this topic would mean looking more into what people want themselves, find their identity and see how they could betheir own entrepreneurs, using their personal leadership to grow and to learn. We will specifically use nature as a learningenvironment. The topic allows young people to have intra en interpersonal development, to work on their independence andautonomy, to understand better which competences help them to learn and grow, and which competences they should developmore to develop further. We planned 3 activities :APV in February 2016 hosted by the applicantExchange in April 2016 in NapoliExchange in June 2016 in GranadaAs learning outcomes we expect participants to work on the following competences@ plan and record learning, L2L, and awareness of competence development@ understand who they are, their identity and what they want@ transforming needs and ideas into actions.@ (re)discover their creativity and use it@ identify their leadership style and how to adapt it in certain circumstances@ intra-personal skills, like self-esteem and self confidence, as examples for the young people they work with@ ability to face challenges, so that they can reach their objectives in this new period of their lives@ reflective practice methods and enable them to become more conscious of their decision making processesThe expected impact is that the learners themselves, and responsible for accompanying learning processes, explicitly reflect theimportance of the environment and necessary conditions to make learning an effective and participatory process.
