Seed for Growth is an EVS Project involving 4 group EVS activities. 3 Hosting Activities will be hosted in Parana’, Brazil and 1 will be hosted in Passignano sul Trasimeno, Italy. The volunteers will carry out their services between February 2012 and November 2012.The services in Brazil will last 3 months (organised in 3 shifts starting from February 2012) and the service in Italy 5 months (starting in February 2012). In total 10 volunteers of which some with fewer opportunities will be involved. The volunteers involved in the project will be from Italy, Spain, Romania and Brazil. The objectives of the project are to offer the volunteers an intercultural experience where they will acquire skills and knowledge regarding global environmental challenges and inclusion of marginalised communities into the mainstream of society.The themes of the project are education through sport and outdoor activities and environment. The volunteers will be carrying activities that will benefit the local communities and the volunteers in particular. The activities will vary. In Italy the activities will be related to eco-farming which will provide them enhance their respect and understanding of environment. They will carry out specific manual activities in an intercultural environment. The volunteers travelling to Brazil will be working with marginalised communities of indigenous people. They will use theatre and creative arts in nature as a means of involving these communities in educating and understanding their rights and duties as active citizens.
