Our project is entitled “Competence School”.The overall project objective is to improve the academic performance for all of our school students until 2018.Our specific objectives are:-enhancing the academic performance in contests and competitions for the 18 % of our students;-improving the activity of our 8 rounds of non-formal education, of peer to peer learning;-improving the professional training for 21 teachers in 2016-2018;-increasing academic achievements for 45 % of our students in the school years 2016/2017 and 2017/2018;-enhancing the acquisition of transversal key competences for all our school pupils at the end of 8th grade;-discovering the abilities and skills of each of our school children, for the right choice of high-school or skill school that he or she will attend.The activities through which our objectives will be achieved are: the attendance of European Training Courses, on topics appropriate to the purpose of the project, for our 21 teachers; the dissemination activities, carried out after returning from the Training Courses, the improvement of our non-formal school workshops, the implementation of new methods and strategies in our regular activities with students, the monitoring and ongoing assessment of the activities of participants.The dissemination of project results will be achieved at an institutional, local, regional, national and international level. This includes meetings, open lessons, presentations, conferences, newspaper articles, TV shows, brochures and information boards.The project results are both qualitative and quantitative (the training of teachers, the improvement of student achievements, the increase of school attractiveness, the positive impact on parents and other community members, the increase of our institution capacity to operate internationally, the creation of a best practice guide, the formation of a well-prepared project team).
