Schülerinnen und Schüler für die Arbeit auf dem globalisierten Markt durch europäische Zusatzangebote im Unterricht qualifizieren
Start date: Sep 1, 2016, End date: Aug 31, 2018 PROJECT  FINISHED

Kaufmannsschule II, a vocational college with a focus on business and administration, would like to show appreciation of students' multicultural backgrounds and qualify the students for working life in a globalised world. This project aims at two target groups: pupils attending full-time education with a leaving certificate qualifying them to study at universities of applied sciences ("Höhere Handelsschule") and part-time students doing an apprenticeship. As those courses are structured differently these target groups will be approached in different ways. The objective for students in full-time education is to establish an "International Business Class" in the medium term that supplements regular subjects with these topics: European law, trade and competition policies of the EU, Economics and/or IT lessons in Spanish, marketing in English as a supplement to Business Administration and Accounting, Business Turkish and International Cooperation. In the part-time classes of the dual system modules will be developed which cater for the needs of apprentices. They will contain European law, trade and competition policies of the EU and Business Turkish. To prepare for this teacher will take part in in-service training modules which aim at the aquisition of special knowledge and foreign language skills as well as didactics of teaching a foreign language (in case it is a bilingual module). Thus colleagues will attend courses and languages courses and do lesson observations. These mobilities will be certified by the Europass-Mobility.Having completed their courses the participants who are 10 % of all teaching staff will work as multipliers among staff and students.
