School Work Intership To Complete High-school

The SWITCH (School Work Internship To Complete High-school) project was born from and educational need of students attending the 4th and 5th year of the sectors "tourism", "administration, finance and marketing" and "business"of the "Istituto Savoia Benincasa" The goal of this project, according to the objectives of Europe 2020 and the strategic objectives 1-2 of ET2020, is a "learners' mobility" trough an experience of VET traineeship abroad for 3 weeks for the most deserving students. They will undertake a vocational training experience in another country , alternating school and working intership to complete their education 20 students will be choosen (and two teachers as helpers, because a part of the students attending the fourth year areminors ): 10 ofthem will benefit from the mobility in France in Nimes and the other 10 in Spain in Fuerteventura. In Spain France the students will be received by the partners :"Ligue de l'enseignement du gard" and "Education and Mobility" that being in touch with local realities have established agreements with companies, organizations and associations in the sector of tourism, business and marketing. In order to obtain an improvement of language skills, computer and employ their theoretical knowledge acquired at school the 20 students will be hosted at a workplace in France and in Spain, where will be supported by a tutor . The tutor will be their supervisor and will follow and support them during the intership period. SWITCH leads the following results on the direct beneficiaries: - Improving the language skills of French or Spanish (use of an articulate and relevant technical and professional language) -the improvement of technological skills (with accuracy and dexterity in the use of tools and applied techonologies) - Rectify curricular gaps - Acquisition of professional skills certified by ECVET, that could be useful in the Italian or international labour market The student mobility will have a positive on thier school curriculum and also on their motivation, increasing their sense of European citizenship, self-esteem and autonomy. The new skills acquired by the beneficiaries will have positive effects on other students because the beneficiaries will compare and share this working experience. In the long term this project will have positive effects on the students that can include this experince on their cultural baggage but also onthe school and partners involved creating a future collaborative network and increasing the number of participants becoming a benchmark at local or national level .
