Saving energy in private households

The focus of the school project is to support prudent environmental behaviour of the youth. Students of four participating schools have to get to know their own contribution to saving energy and to the use of renewable energies and draw implications for their own behaviour. Above all, the contribution of each individual should be supported.Participants develop a theoretical background that will address energy consumption in the EU, energy consumption in households will stand at the forefront . The proposed methods are implemented through surveys of the students of participating schools in their households. In addition, interviews with local business associates will be done. Thus, students will have an overview of energy consumption. They will evaluate the collected data and review energy-saving in households. First and foremost the development of small steps in everyday life and at school should be considered.The schools are presented to the participants by photos, videos and using the school websites. The results will be saved by means of statistics, information brochures for classmates and websites. In addition, exhibitions will take place in individual countries and the results will be published in the participating schools and associated businesses. During the project, each progress of the project will be presented in a "Comenius-Corner" at school. Communications will be effected through a communications platform that will be set up by the school in Prague, as well as via e-mail and ICQ.
