Our project will begin in Aralik district of Igdir on May 1, 2015 and will continue until September 1, 2015. Activities of the project will take place between 22-31of May, 2015 and be formed by 40 young people from 5 different countries. The project is going to take place in Aralik, - a town in the province of Igdir, which has a unique natural landscape. The aim of the activities is to develop young people's and local’s awareness about nature (wind erosion and its effects) by using remarkable activities and to bring different viewpoints in protecting the environment. Within the context of the project, participants will create a “Big Green Wall” by using their bodies as trees and bushes to stop wind erosion and also they will draw the attention of the local people to this issue. They will also prepare a non-verbal theater like a drama to stage it in the square of the village. Our goal is to create awareness about wind erosion issue among local people, increase their susceptibility to wind erosion and its negative impact to the nature, and also inform them about bushes like “Ebû Cehîl- Amr bin Hîşām” which is the best flora to protect the environment from the wind erosion. The project also aims to improve their point of view for protecting the environment. We will use non-formal and informal teaching methods to encourage them to being active in the project. Cultural nights, trips to the surrounding area and various workshops are also included in the program of the project's activities in the duration of 10 days. The operating language of the project will be English. The main themes of the project are erosion, wind erosion, importance of trees and blushes and nature, and European awareness. The participants will also have the opportunity to share their approaches with residents of Aralik through a drama theater and remarkable activities as forming “protective people wall” which is called "Big Green Wall" and they also will create an exhibition of photograhps which will be shooted in the areas of the town. These "PhotoSafari" activity will create an attractive environment for the local people, NGO's, local governments and youth workers through photo frames which will offer real-sections Our main activity will highlight that the protection of the nature is one of our common targets as European countries and will also create awareness among local people about wind erosion and its negative effect to the nature. In addition to these activities, European awareness and cultural learning activities will take place in our project.
