The theme of the project „ Improvement of practical skills for learners in Saulaine Vocational Secondary school” Erasmus + project gives learners the opportunity to develop their theoretical knowledge and professional skills in their chosen profession. The project will involve 16 students and two accompanying teachers. Vocational education has been set as a priority in the country and there is an urgent dual training, so teachers need to be flexible, able to provide a new, modern, up to date information on your subject for the preparation of competitive young professionals. Participation in the project is an opportunity to learn new added valuable knowledge, skills, integrate the best practices in managing of learning process and apply new techniques in their daily work. Estimated timing 29.02.2016.-03.13.2016. We collaborate with two partners in the Mobility project: 1. M.E.P. Europrojects Granada in Spain. This is a private educational organization with extensive experience in the Lifelong Learning Programme projects. The organization has more than nine years of experience in professional training activities in cooperation with various countries across Europe. It has experience of more than 25 different professional fields, including the catering and hotel services specialities, tourism, IT technologies. 2. Mobitity Friends Association since 2012, promotes and supports international mobility programmes. The Association is the largest organization receiving international mobility projects in Portugal. During the Mobility project participants’ professional opportunities ensure for growth enterprises, foreign-language development, cultural and environmental familiarity. The association promotes the relationship between several partners, including the sharing of information, experiences, idea. The aim of the project - the modernization of vocational education theoretical and practical access and update its role in the labor market. Main tasks in the Mobility project: 1. To improve the labor market, the professional competencies, according to the Latvian and the EU labor market, competitiveness. 2. To raise students' level of knowledge, to promote the improvement of educational achievement, improve the skills needed in chosen professions – the specialist of Catering Service, Hotel services, Rural property manager, Car mechanic. 3. To develop practical skills in gaining the cooperation between the educational institution and the practice training places of the EU countries. Mobility project provides: * To improve and gain participants’ new knowledge and skills in the relevant field; * To increase participants' competitiveness in the labor market, labor market opportunities and requriments; * To improve knowledge of foreign languages, the usage in everyday life, to improve communication - cooperation skills; * To get to know the vocational education in the visited country, as well as to explore the cultural and historical heritage. Pupils are offered the opportunity to broaden their knowledge in the companies which: * Practicing organic farming; * Produce products in the certified outworker copmanies; * Garages where work on the latest technologies and equipment; * Do vocational training in four-star hotels; * Provides quality catering services. Saulaine Vocational Secondary School is the only one among several districts in Zemgale (Bauska, Rundāle, Vecumnieku, Iecavas and others). Vocational education has been set as a priority in the country. Statistics show that between vocational school graduates who have gained experience in international mobility projects, it is a little percentage of the unemployed. Previous project experience positively shows that the requirement of young professionals is in catering service industry. Potential employers (entrepreneurs) in Zemgale region, attract the interest of students who have gained international practice. With a variety of positive practices promote students' interest in the labor market opportunities for the least possible number of students who drop out of school. By participating in the project participants will gain qualitative experience to integrate different practical working environment, to be more flexible against possible changes in the work environment and job offers. Mobility promotes young workers / future employer's ability to dare, enterprise, business thinking, as well as several foreign acquisition of necessity. Implementation of the project and participation in the Lifelong Learning programme gives positive results - contributes to the school reputation, improve co-operation between organizations in the European market.
