SAT - SWAP AND TRANSFER (EU - Asia)
Start date: Jul 15, 2013,

The project aims at promoting knowledge transfer, research and innovation as means of steady and sustainable development in both EU and Asian countries involved and key factors in global competitiveness. Most of industrialised countries recognize the relevance of knowledge circulation and transfer for sustained and sustainable economic growth. Mobility is a rising way of investing in education to valorise human capital changing the academic life and the labour market, all over the world. An increasing attention to values, and the growing awareness and need of an ethical approach is also rising in business, social and environmental trends. Thus HEI are no longer only providers of scientific knowledge and expertise but are increasingly called to educate world citizens, skilled, responsible and progressively involved in the promotion of a society reflecting ethic values and social responsibility in all scientific domains. Swap and Transfer is the third stage of a progressive cooperation plan started with BTG and OMS, now involving in a sound partnership new countries and 6 more institutions. It aims at offering, by means of the EM experience, a unique ground -and for 150 grantees a unique opportunity- to build on diversity and knowledge, and to transfer know how and innovation in different contexts. Mobility schemes and tested practices for services, recognition and quality -already in place- will be readapted to a joint coordination, to respond to emerging needs of a broader scenario. Increased scientific potential and technology transfer will enhance HE relevance, impact and effectiveness in responding to sustainable demographic, environmental and social changes and stimulate gradual improvements. A parallel process will foster the overall capacity of Institutions and individuals to undertake professional, academic and scientific growth in an international globally accountable perspective.
