The Project will come to life in association with “The Garden of Medician, Zeytinburnu” for 10050,00 Euros.
Through the project “ A piece of Green for Health” we will state and stress the importance of healthy nutrition, the value of plants and eventually create a conscuosness of healthy living. The Plant Basil (Ocimum Basilicum) has been chosen as our project’a logo for its value in healthy nutrition.
The eating habits of our youth has been observed. Our observations revealed the fact that our generation does not pay enough attention to the importance to healthy living. In the current state, individuals encounter a variety of health problems and with the degration of their energy so degrades their satisfaction from life. We aim to change young individuals’ perspective on healthy nutrition, have them learn about plants and develop recognition of plant variaties through common educational methods. In workshops we aim to develop the habit of using plants in daily courses thus involving such plants in social life in a way. Also, we will create a recognition for fading values, tastes, healthy nutrition habits, natural and organic food types. By examining the local cuisines we intend to create an interaction between cultures. Also we will measure the carbon footprint of this project, and contribute to the nature by planting trees to cover our carbon footprint. 0As the hosting country one of our priorities is to create a work environment which offers the Turkish Hospitality.
Our aim and top priority is to establish a fundamental for our generation and the next generations where healthy nutrition and helthy living is recognized beyond words and practiced as a daily routine.
