Sağlık Alanında Uygulanan AB Hijyen Standartlarının İncelenerek Eğitim Müfredatına Adapte Edilmesi
Start date: Sep 1, 2014, End date: Aug 31, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The most serious vocational illnesses in the health sector are related to work hygiene. Moreover, there is a lack of qualified workforce who conducts serious studies in the field, who have the required experience and field training. This causes both material and spiritual loss. The hygiene related problems in the health sector are first caused by the callousness of the personnel and second by the inadequate technical base structure. When we sort the secondary problems with regard to these two main needs, we can list the project goals as follows: 1. To overcome the vocational experience deficiencies of the field teachers in vocational health high schools, 2. To prepare the vocational health high school graduate personnel to the sector, 3. To improve and regulate the curricula and the course materials used in vocational health high schools within the framework of the EU standards, 4. To contribute to the learning and improvement of modern foreign languages, 5. To enable the establishment of a common culture on a EU dimension, 6. To enable our institutions to establish partnerships on an international scale, 7. To prevent vocational illnesses caused by hygiene in health institutions. After having meetings with many vocational health high schools on a national basis, we formed a structure of 5 local partners with 3 from our city and 2 from other cities. Then, after an evaluation of our goals and the capacity of the sender-receiver institutions, it has been decided that the mobility of the 26 participants will take place in 3 periods in the host institutions in the Netherlands, Italy and Denmark. The first period will take place in the Netherlands with 8 people between 23.11.2013 - 06.12.2014, the second period in Italy with 9 people between 18.01.2015 - 31.01.2015, and the third period in Denmark with 9 people between 15.03.2015 - 28.03.2015. Our project is also important since it serves the following article from the 9th Development Plan: “Teacher competence will be constantly developed by taking into consideration the changes in the curricula and teaching methods, effective methods will be used both in pre-service and in-service training for the acquisition of the required qualifications.” Furthermore, our project corresponds to the European level development of the innovative curriculum/educational methods/training courses and to the primary purposes of establishing international cooperation, international relations and development cooperation. Beyond all that, our project is presented with the idea of a contribution to the circulation of the knowledge and experience among the EU countries and to the process of our country’s candidacy. In the light of all these, the team consisting of the teachers or the administrators of vocational health high schools will make observations and anlyses through which they will meet the goals, and as a result of the activities the project will have both a national and an international impact.
