The main objective of the Project is to eliminate border effect expressed with difference in road accident risks for road users in EU and RF sides of Barents Region. Harmonisation of principles and instruments to manage accident risk for users, caused by factor "Road and its surrounding" is expected to be able harmonise road conditions both sides of the border, improve fluency of road transport flows and shift the road quality "safety", critically important for users and environment. Achievements: The traffic and road experts and administrations received valuable information about traffic hazards and also generally about the functioning of road traffic in the neighboring country. This helps to reduce risks on the roads. Additionally, it helps in spreading information about traffic safety to those who cross the border by their cars.
