Sa invatam sa invatam - primii pasi spre cariera
Start date: Feb 28, 2015, End date: Oct 27, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project „Let’s learn to learn – the first steps towards career” is developed around the main activity of a youth exchange, bringing together 20 young people with fewer opportunities, boys and girls, aged between 18 and 25 years old from Romania and Republic of Moldova. The youth exchange will take place in Iasi, Romania, in July 2015. The origin of the project idea can be found inside a problem identified at the level of contemporary society: early school leaving. The phenomenon, which tends to expand in certain environments and communities, represents a major risk for society development as a whole. The general objectice of the project is to contribute to increasing the interest for professional formation, as mean of acquiring the necessary competences for practicing a qualified professional job, and entrepreneurship among yung people aged between 18 and 25 years old from Romania and Republic of Moldova. Project activities aim to increase the motivation of young people for education / professional formation, in order to have better chances of integration on the labor market, either as employees or as entrepreneurs. The project uses a number of working methods aimed to contribute to participants’ personal and professional development, helping them to discover or develop their potential, by overcoming prejudices about themselves or by experiencing new things, and to the development of confidence in themselves. The non-formal will be constantly present throughout the entire project implementation, the methods used being specific to non-formal education and the learning objectives of participants being established in relation to their needs. The project results are first of all represented by the competences acquired by the 20 young people with fewer opportunities from Romania and Republic of Moldova up to the end of the youth exchange (as mentioned in the personal Youthpass), but also by the fact that these young people will become aware of the importance of increased responsibility and interest towards professional formation, thing that will lead to a successful capitalization of their own resources. The learning competences acquired by participants will be validated through Youthpass certificate. Project implementation will prove to be a real success for both young people and the society they live in. On the one hand, young people will realize the benefits of assimilating the competences and ideas promoted inside the project and on the other hand, there will be visible results at the level of the local communities. Local communities will be positively impacted by this project, because young participants, once returned to their communities, will be able to implement what they learned, take initiative including in the issues of community interest and behave like real active citizens and leaders, who possess the skills necessary to solve existent problems. Moreover, these young people will be able to train others at their turn, by disseminating acquired information and sharing experience, as well as to develop similar projects at their turn, on different themes of interest. Among the dissemination of project results, we mention: organizing information sessions in the local communities of the two countries involved, training of multipliers of information among stakeholders, creating a mini-magazine with interviews of young people, the creation of a common group of discussion on internet, open to the public, developing and publishing on-line a Picassa album with photos from the youth exchange and during information sessions and others. A fundamental feature of the project is the active participation of young people in all of the project activities and milestones, from the preparation phase to the phase of dissemination of results.
