S1-L02 MEDASTAR - MEditerranean Area for Science Technology And Research

MEDASTAR is a project committed to bring opportunities to students from both public and private universities of Egypt and Lebanon, paying attention to develop the capacity of public administrators in Lebanon and unemployed graduate population in Egypt. Gender balance and equal opportunities is enhanced in the project. The particular goal is to promote Science and Technology initiatives in these two MEDA countries. In total, 190 mobility flows are planned: 57 BA, 48 MA, 41 PhD, 23 Post-docs, and 21 staff nobilities from which 12 will be for academic staff and 9 for personnel involved in institutional building. Thus 9 administrative staff will receive a tailor-made program on university governance and quality assurance organized in one of the EU partner universities. 92 mobility flows will be from Egypt, 68 from Lebanon and 30 from EU. Project objective: Increase research, innovation and exchange of knowledge between partners Promote science and technology in cooperation with private industry Internationalisation and excellence of studies Gender balance Quality assurance for internationalisation Promote Internship programmes and collaboration between EG-LIB-EU institutions
