The island of Mayotte is an outermost region of Europe and a French department located in the Mozambique Channel. Its inhabitants (and therefore our students), mostly Muslims, are native speakers of the Shimaore (Swahili language) and have a very strong cultural identity but also very far from a sense of belonging to the European Community which the island is part .Moreover, our Rep+ rated school home, like all schools on the island, to many migrant pupils (legal and illegal), mainly from the neighboring islands of Comoros, one of the poorest states in the world. We lack expertise to teach in this context and we believe the success of our students go through the implementation of strategies adapted to this context. We expect to find consistent and viable responses in our European partners. We wish to establish new non-formal education (cultural and artistic projects) that:- Promote the mastery of learning "institutional"- Promote the acquisition of transversal skills- Allow a positive inclusion of all students while respecting their cultural and linguistic diversity`A Europe-wide project seems to us the best way to achieve our goals.Three teachers involved in this project and want to put their skills to work for all partners:- Teaching of French language education in small groups, the Shimaore being the mother tongue of our students- Reception and Monitoring of migrant students and their families- Application in European projects, Comenius and Erasmus + KA2The project mainly rely on jobshadowing activities but also on exchange of practices in the preparatory activities for the participants and partners to define the topics of mobility at work and in partner countries. These activities help us find answers to our educational needs in a bilingual or multilingual publicand establishment of non-formal education (cultural and artistic projects) that:* promote the mastery of learning "institutional"* promote the acquisition of transversal skills* allow a positive inclusion of all students while respecting their cultural and linguistic diversityThis project will bring new educational practices in our school, develop the culture of teamwork and cross, allow better success of our students while respecting their cultural and linguistic diversity, and finally bring a European dimension to our Academy .Beyond breathe new teaching in our college, this project is expected to sustain links with partners to jointly develop a project Erasmus + KA2.
