S jazyky do Evropy
Start date: Jun 1, 2015,
End date: May 31, 2017
This project evolves because of the need of our teachers for further proffesional development. The aim is to increase the knowladge and skills of our language teachers and therefore to improve the quality of teaching. We also want to stimulate the interest in other european countries and develop comunication with people from other cultural backgrounds.
We would like to send 8 language teachers to a methodology course to a foreign country. Some teachers have full qualification for teaching the foreign language and some teach it without having their degree in language teaching. The courses are for 2 weeks and there will be different types of courses chosen according to the specific needs of the pariticipating teacher and the needs of our school. The coordinator will comunicate with the hosting organizations and monitor the whole project. An important part of the activity is a feedback from our teachers. They will have to submit an evaluating assement which the teachers have to do after their return. The teachers are also requiered to update their Europass after the course.
We expect an impact on better abilities of our teachers in their quality of teaching and therefore on higher knowledge and better skills of our pupils.
Longterm concept of our school is to fulfill the need of better quality and effectivity of teaching and learning foreign languages which will prepare our students for their further studies, for their future carears and their personal lifes.
We also hope that our project will increase an interest for further study abroad which can improve a chance for better employment in the future.
We see an important value in the possibility of comunication among other european people which opens up the minds of people and helps in discovering new cultures and international contacts.
We think that proffessional development of our teachers will lead to a longterm proffit for our school and region.
