Ruszajmy do Europy
Start date: Jun 1, 2015,
End date: May 31, 2016
The "Let's go to Europe" project was the second step of our European development school's plan. The first project, "Open ourselves for Europe" was directed mostly at English courses for our teachers to let them improve their langauge abilities. The main aim of this project was to broaden our teachers' knowlegde and abilities via job shadowing in kindergartens and primary schools in Portugal. There are ten teachers working currently in Gminny Zespol Szkolno - Przedszkolny nr 4 in Wiecki. Eight out of them participated in the project: teachers working in the kindergarten, classes from1-3 and 4-6 as well. As a result the analysis of our temporary needs, we found the issues that are most important for us: supporting children's development during kindergarten, the six-years-old children's adaptation to the conditions being a result of lowered school starting age, improving our students' school achievements at English and Mathematics, raising the scores of the final external exam and developing proper, valuable attitudes of our pupils. We are sure that participating in the project provided us with kindergarten and school functioning improvement. The teachers had an exceptional opportunity to enrich their professional skills, refresh and broaden their knowledge and qualifications. Our school became more open, routine overcoming, inspired by knowledge richness and experiences of our friends from European schools.
