RUNNING TOWARDS THE JOB

The project promoted by The Consortium of Vocational Institutes, a net of more than 60 State Vocational and Technical Institutes coming from different regions, starts from a seminary of the previous mobility project, and of requests which come from the job world, have highlighted the suggestions and the innovative proposals which could characterize the new design. The project group, makes use of the experience acquired during these years, as in mobility projects as about transfer of innovation. The main aim is the creation of a route which through the mobility experience promotes the activation and enforcement of the personal competences seeing a wider arrangement in jobs, open even to a job market from European level, in a constant level between the formation world to the companies’. The project foresees the involvement of 98 students of the associated schools from the IV and V year of different Vocational and Technological Institutes whose 4 disabled and some foreign students. The students in their previous curricular route have already acquired basic and professional competences Related to different addresses of studies and had contacts with job world, but often live a situation of insecurity and little awareness of their resources, together with a lack of working perspectives. The project consists of different phases with a first part of internal and external preparation to the origin schools, a mobility abroad of 21 days with a working insertion, according a personalized work-placement plan in companies connected with their section of studies and a phase of reflection and documentation which makes the beneficiaries aware of what developed / Learnt in terms of new competences, knowledges and skills. The development of activities depends on a solid partnership, which involves apart from the Consortium, organizations of Education and formation strictly connected with the working world of Portugal, Spain, Ireland, Netherlands, Finland, with whom through constant contacts and formal agreements connected with Quality Card are fixed in a clear way roles and tasks and procedures. The activities foreseen. The methodology and didactic used supports, produced inside a previous European project (EIS 3NL/06/B/F/PP/157368) involve the beneficiaries in a constant action of self-evaluation and self- formation, which always sees more autonomous and motivated to new discoveries and acquirements. The involvement of companies individualized from host partners happens from the very beginning through a constant dialogue, which foresees the survey of their expectations towards foreign trainees, the adequate calibration of work-placement plans of beneficiaries with a clear instruction of the level of competences acquired and the aims of learning to pursue, the sharing and use of documents and tools of evaluation and the feedback from trainees on their experience in the company. The results waited for the beneficiaries, are connected to the personal dimension of the choices, to the learning through the experience and the direction to a working market always more global: the schools of the beneficiaries could share good practices increasing the tendency to the mobility of students, giving value to ways of innovative learning . As regards the host companies the welcoming of foreign trainees, should improve the tendency to receive foreign trainees because are improved the procedures of reception, guidance and evaluation. Long term benefits consist from one side in a better predisposition of young to a working mobility outside their country and to the other enforce the bonds between the formation world and company so that the young can be prepared and absorbed by the working world.
