Project’s background: Transformation from a local to a European job market forces our school to face new challenges. Junior Secondary Schools need to prepare its students for a life in modern Europe. For this reason, teachers continuously improve their multicultural and project’s management skills. Multicultural skills are an interdisciplinary experience, essential in case of a truly European-minded school. Trainings, in which teachers from various countries take part, provide such a knowledge. At the same time, participation in the seminary facilitated networking with potential partners, with which we would like to cooperate in the forthcoming future on the Erasmus+ programme. Objectives: - upskilling of existing skills and providing new skills to teachers - exchanging experiences and novel solutions - improving teaching and working methods and language skills - gaining intercultural competence by teachers - improving skills connected with the proper usage of ICT (information and communication technologies) - developing initiatives, individual enterprises, creativity and life resourcefulness - eliminating stereotypes in relations to the citizens of foreign countries - developing tolerance and democratic attitudes - improving project management knowledge Participants’ profile and number: One teacher took part in the training programme who: - undertook further training abroad - had sufficient knowledge of a foreign language - was ready to promote European ideas among the pupils and fellow teachers - was prepared to spread the idea of European integration among the students Description of activities: Participation in a training programme entitled: “Project management for cross-cultural exchange projects in Europe”. Methodology used in carrying out the project: The course lasted 48 hours and consisted of theoretical and practical activities. The methodology was based on integration of theory and practice as well as sharing expertise and analyzing case studies. The following methods have been applied: plenary, discussions in pairs and small groups, role plays, workshops. Description of expected results and potential long-term benefits: Experience gained during the course resulted in motivation for further upskilling and international cooperation. Training programme inspired to proceed with new European projects and upgraded language skills of the participant.
