The ‘Personal and professional development - a better start in the future’ implied apprenticeship lasting four weeks in Spanish companies. The practice gave the participant a chance to learn through practice and provided professional development. The participant got work experience appropriate to the student’s profile of education. An important element of the project was implementing of measures aimed at personal development of the students, because there is a need to equip young people with the skills to adapt to new circumstances and changing conditions, thereby enabling acquisition of knowledge, skills and competencies that are not merely professional. The participants in the project complemented and strengthened key and language competencies that give a school leaver of Technical School No1 the chance for a better start in the labor market . The aim of the project was: - the development and the use of competence in ICT, language proficiency, organizational and social skills as well as strengthening personal characteristics necessary for working and social life, - gaining experience through practical application and mastering professional skills which contributed to the professional development of participants, - verification of own professional predispositions, - the acquisition of the ability to plan a career and vocational education, - awareness of the need for learning throughout life, - increasing of intercultural awareness, In the project there were planned 3 mobilities in the field of economics, logistics, IT and promotion organizations for 55 students in grades II and III. The aim was to take part in apprenticeship lasting four weeks in Spanish enterprises. The abroad apprenticeship took place in the town Ubeda, where the partner institution has one of its headquarters. In March 2015 there were the apprenticeships for 20 students in the profession of logistics technician; at the end of May and in June 2016, 10 students in the profession of economist technician and 10 students of ICT technician had their apprenticeships; at the end of February and in March 2016, 9 students in the profession of promotion organization technician and 6 students in the profession of economist technician had their apprenticeships. The structure of students by their profession in the last group is different due the fact that there was a little interest in taking part in the project of potential candidates in the field of promotional organizations and unfulfillment of recruitment criteria. The participants of the project were chosen in the selection and recruitment process providing equality of chances for all the participants to meet expectations of the criteria. High quality of practices was guaranteed by a rational and realistic schedule of activities, the implementation of the cultural - linguistic - pedagogical programme and close cooperation with the detailed allocation of tasks to the project partners. EUROMIND Managing Partner undertook the selection of companies that guarantee the implementation of the practices and concluded agreements with their host institutions. The beneficiary organized 20 hours of workshops of interpersonal communication and 15 hours of professional counseling, that helped to determine the personality and professional profile of participants and to plan educational and professional career path made in the Individual Action Plan by the participant. Before leaving the participants took part in 30 hours of Spanish course, the aim of which was to get some linguistic skills. The learning of this language was continued during the stay and lasted for another 20 hours. The confirmation of acquired skills were the certificates of taking part in workshops, the certificates of finishing language courses, Europass mobility document and the certificate of having taken part in the apprenticeships. The activities under the project were evaluated on an ongoing basis. The subject of the evaluation was: - the quality and usefulness of the training, - organization and implementation of professional practice examining the professional skills, - surveys exploring the development of key and language competencies in the implementation of occupational tasks, - quality of services provided by the Managing Partner, Gaining broader key competences will allow participants to direct own professional career and play an active role in social and economic life of the country and the countries of the European community. The project opened up opportunities to remove barriers to mobility through enhanced skills in communicating in a foreign language and openness to other cultures. The development of language skills provided the participant a broader sense of European identity and a coherent community which may result in international mobility.
