"Competence development as a tool of changes" project engages staff of Fundacja Aktywny Senior (FAS): educators and volunteers to enhance and upgrade their skills and abilities in several areas.Project was based on the main areas of development:- Development and enhancement of competences of planning and managing of European Educational Projects- Development of language and intercommunicational skills of the people who cooperate and volunteers for FAS- Development of the intergenerational and cross-cultural dialogue- Development of interpersonal skills vital for adult educators- Development of educational skills vital for adult educators- Development of validation tools of adult competences, particularly of adult volunteers.Main needs identified: - development of educators' competences (methods and methodologies)- international dimension of conducted educational activities.For this purpose six educational mobilities have been planned both for the staff and volunteers:6 training mobilities adjusted to particular needs (e.g.enhancing language and interpersonal competences).Total number of participants is 30 (including 20 volunteers of 50+ who are actively involved in different activities of cultural, social and supportive character). This group is participating in different educational actions and activities wchich are supported by FAS.Mobilities will include groups of 5 people, both staff and volunteers. It is indespensable due to the mature age of some volunteers to provide comfort and security during the trainings and longer stays in different countries. Each group will also have one younger person as a an intergenerational support.Thanks to the mobilities the staff will develop its managerial skills an expertise, enhance its abilities of plannig and managing of European Projects. The trainings will give the opportunity to widen the knowledge of educational tools, to initiate the international contacts, to learn about the other cultures and to build the new contacts with a lot of potential for future development.The expected effect of participation is sharing the acquired knowledge and expertise with others - which will bring the effect of equalling the level of competences in the local and national environment.The contact with other organisations which operate on the market is of real value since they have a lot of experience and expertise and good practices on the volunteering and competence recognition issues (Holland). The competences validation procceses are also considered as crucial for the organisation.New teaching methods will introduce ideas and tools well know and applied in internationl environment and will be beneficiary for each society, will also break the fossilized old patterns of adult teaching process. Moreover the interpersonal training will be of great value in the whole process of trainings. It will increase the quality of educational offer and broaden the perspectives for future relation and cooperation within Europe.
