Project background: Because of changes transforming the regional labour markets into the European labour market our school has also changed its requirements. Our institution should, and also wants to, prepare the students to live in the common Europe, and help them to find their place on the European labour market. This is why our teachers multicultural competence, as well as their ability to manage projects, should significantly develop. Multicultural knowledge is an interdisciplinary competence. It is also an important feature of a school open for Europe. The competence can be acquired during multicultural training activities and courses during which it is possible to master the European projects administration. It is essential for us that our teachers, together with the teachers from different countries, participate into the course, that the multicultural training lasts during the whole week. Simultaneously, our teachers taking part in the European courses have the possibility to meet their potential project partners, in order to plan students exchange or to realize the E-Twinning project. Project aims: Perfecting the multicultural competence and the European projects administration competence of the teaching staff. Number and profile of participants: Two teachers taking part in the course should be prepared for further education abroad, should speak foreign languages well, should be ready to popularize the European dimension amongst the staff and the pupils. They should also be open to introduce European innovations into the class. Actions description: Participation in a multicultural course perfecting European projects administration. Methodology used in the project realization: Thanks to training courses the multicultural competence should be implemented into the class, and thanks to the European projects administration competence the teachers should institutionalize European projects. Expected results, the project impact description and the potential long-term benefits: The seminar experience will become stimuli to multicultural education and cooperation. Working at the school which manages European projects will become more effective. Trainings will enable teachers to engage the teaching staff more into the European projects realization, that is to use the project method in order to develop the multicultural, language and social competence of the students. Thanks to the competence extension our students will be better prepared for fulfilling the requirements of the European and international labour markets.
