The project ' Develop Yourself to Develop Others' is primarily aimed at the teachers of Gimnazjum no 4 in Gdynia. Participants include 15 teachers involved in the project. Project lasts 13 months. Its general objectives are: -how to become inspirated and motivated,-how to improve and modify methods of teaching and working with teenagers at our school. Its aim is also to prevent job burnout. We hope the project will bring the fresh look to more effective pedagogical approaches and teaching methods in Gimnazjum no 4.Some of the teachers will take part in workshops 'Drama in Education' and 'Boal's Methodology in Education' in Croatia. The main aims of these courses iare to enhance their professional development and also to acquire important skills such as project management and teamwork.The other teachers involved into the project will improve their English and German linguistic skills and speaking fluency during Deutschlehrerkurs, Better English For Teachers , Erasmus + Enhanced English Skills, Creative Teaching in the Secondary Classroom and EP6 Intensive General English. Taking part in various international courses will make possible for them to diversify educational methods and teaching approaches. Project participants will inform about the project activities and its outcome during professional conferences and seminars which will be held at school. We expect that the project will have a remarkable impact on the all involved teachers and the whole community of Gimnazjum no 4. Lessons will become more interesting, exciting and mutually beneficial experience for students and teachers.The activities we are going to carry out within the project are supposed to integrate all the students of our community. The process of learning will be accompanied by drama techniques developed during the project. Within a year the students will have an opportunity to embark on numerous events, eg. competitions, interscholastic and educational projects, preparing school plays, shows, problem solving tasks. All the ventures are supposed to provide an opportunity to young people grow in self - confidence, to provide them with ability to recognize and deal with life problems. Moreover, to help them to identify effectively and appropriately the labour market and the economy requirements.All the new educational methods and tools will be implemented within different activities. The project will be incorporated into syllabus. Sustained benefits of new competencies are :-providing creative (drama) techniques for teenagers,-developing their personal communication by participating in team activities,-creating and developing new learning and teaching partnerships,-creating opportunities to exchange educational experience,-more chances to conceive and embark on new international projects,-developing projects that benefit the local community,-building a positive image of Gimnazjum no 4 in a local community,-strengthening cooperation and transferring knowledge at organisational, local, regional, national and European levels.
