Rozvojom kompetencií učiteľa k rozvoju osobnosti študenta
Start date: Jul 1, 2014, End date: Jun 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project that we are applying for aims for the modernization and internationalization of the educational forms and content. Our project counterpart - organisations Pilgrims (Canterbury) is a long-term and reputable teacher training providing institution within the scope of the various teaching techniques. Our institution systematically increases in quality, as well as the range of the opportunities that we offer is gradually extending (namely the establishment of new classes, new subjects, especially in our highly perspective bilingual section, etc.). The best way to characterize our main aims in the project is to describe it as a conscious overall implementation of the knowledge, skills and experience acquired by participants during the foreign language methodological courses with the significant impact not only on participants, but also the institution and target groups represesnted by students, their legal representatives and after all, the broader public. We can mention several particular types of activities and techniques expected during the course, e.g. "How to motivate teenagers", "Study material production", "Vocabulary and grammar teaching methods", "Effective class management", "Use of visual materials" and others. Newly acquired knowledge, skills, beliefs and experience will be the base for updating their teaching approaches and, subsequently, these would be transfered to students who thus get a chance for sufficient language preparation within the highly demanding international labour-market environment or the university study at any of EU educational insitution. In the name of the general qualification acquired implementation into structures of our educational insitution, the complex advance preparation of our participants will be led in the form of mentoring, specification of possible risks, but in particular by thorough acquisition of the essential project topics by participants, and monitoring during the project actions. Outputting activities (miniseminars, meeting sessions, written report, questionnaire, lesson observations, teacher-students mentoring) will ensure the complex feedback and become starting point for the further actions or potential school projects in future. Direct benefits for our participants will be the improvement of their professional skills, confidence gained, acquisition of some new contacts or registration of their professional progress in European certificates. Admittedly, benefits for students and for our educational institution as such will be derived from the aforementioned points with the long-run effect.
