Rozvoj jazykových, počítačových a CLILových kompetencí
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

Development of language, computer and CLIL competences Main aim of this application is to improve on language competences of our teachers, higher involvement of modern IT technologies in education and deeper integration of foreign languages in vocational subjects. The foreign mobilities will contribute to improvement of language skills and knowledge of teachers who will be able to apply their experience, new ways and methods in lessons at our school and furthermore to spread them among their colleagues and through that contribute to improvement in education of our pupils. Gymnázium (Grammar School), Pardubice, Dašická 1083 will implement mobilities (participation in educational courses) focused on development of language, didactic and IT competences. Teachers of foreign languages will be directly sent to a special methodological course in the specific language, teachers of other non-language vocational subjects will go through a language preparation (language courses). Teachers of IT and the headmaster will first attend a language course followed by a methodological course. Our school is interested in development of participation in e-Twinning programme and spreading of the CLIL teaching method into mathematics, IT classes and scientific fields. Methodology and knowledge gained through the mobilities will bring to colleagues information necessary for making language teaching more effective. They will also bring improvements in CLIL method or in the use of computers in language lessons and they will contribute to accomplishment of educational goals and gaining language competences defined in CECR. The mobilities of teachers will contribute to pro-European thoughts, to getting to know culture, customs and traditions of other European countries, to establishing international relationships/partnerships, to joining new international projects and through all this we will hopefully improve the studies of foreign languages and arouse the interest in studying at our school. Teachers of foreign languages and non-language teachers will also use language competences in after-school activities like for example in robotics, preparations of pupils for competitions and scientific and technological projects and in accompanying pupils in international rounds of those competitions. Knowledge and skills from mobilities will be spread through seminars by the participants of mobilities not only among their colleagues teaching at our school but also among teachers working in the whole region and this will slowly contribute to improvement in education.
