Linguistic and methodological skills update for teachers of the Alliance Francaise in Pardubice is a project of a non-profit organization Alliance Francaise de Pardubice whose activities focus on teaching and dissemination of French language, French teachers training, support for French and Francophone culture and international language exams DELF, DALF and TCF. Alliance Francaise in Pardubice is the only organisation accredited by the Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic to provide futher education of language teachers. The aim of the project is to improve the quality and language skills of teachers through participation in courses organized by reputable institutions in France, extending the range of language courses, training for teachers of French, enriching their cultural and educational activities . Project participants are four employees of Alliance Francaise, all of them very experienced in teaching French language, eager to learn new things and increase their competence. The main activity of mobility will be implemented methodology courses for teachers of French language in specialized institutions in France. Their selection took place with regard to the motivation of the participants and the needs of Alliance Francaise. The director of Alliance Francaise Ms Diana Bangoura is in charge of mentoring participants and she is a tutor responsible for a preparation of a mobility plan (choice of courses and participants). Thanks to Mobility we will be able to increase the linguistic, professional and personal competence of our employees, expand the range of vocationally-oriented language courses (new ideas , materials and documents for the implementation of new training courses for French teachers) and prepare a new presentation of French and Francophone regions. Participants of workshops and seminars for teachers will get familiar with new trends and knowledge in teaching French. Participants in our language courses will be led by tutors who will be able to update, modernize and adapt the teaching methods to the needs of individual students. Alliance Francaise is also updating its media library. In the long run, through training courses for teachers the quality of teaching in other institutions will be improved, new language courses will increase the number of French students whose knowledge of French will increase their employability and competitiveness in the European and global labour market.
