Rozvíjíme profesionální kompetence v evropském rámci
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The content of our project "Developing Professional Competences in the European Framework" is the preparation and implementation of individual mobility activities aimed at gaining new experience in the field of lifelong learning, improving language skills, increasing awareness of new approaches and methods of teaching and motivation to wider, more effective use of ICT in education. The project will implement activities aimed at preparing individual mobility activities and their implementation, interim and final evaluation of the project work and sophisticated dissemination of project results. In the area of individual staff mobility activities and international cooperation we are planning the following activities for teachers: We are planning a methodology course in business English for one teacher, a CLIL language course focusing on professional economic subjects for one teacher, a CLIL language course with a focus on general education subjects in English and German respectively for two teachers, a methodology course focused on the UK culture and institutions for one teacher, a methodology course focusing on the UK literature and culture for two English teachers, a methodology course in French for one teacher, a methodology course in German for one teacher, and a methodology course in Spanish for one teacher. The main objective of our project is to create quality and innovative products for training in languages and general and economic subjects. In the field of implementation of creative and innovative approaches and techniques we want to capture new trends in modern teaching of individual subjects. One of the objectives of our project is also increasing the prestige of our school in the region by offering high quality instruction in several foreign languages, by professionally trained teachers and by introducing modern CLIL teaching methodology. The expected outcomes are particularly to become familiar with innovative but proven practices, tools, materials, up-to-date methods of work, examples of good practices and their implementation in our educational process. Our teachers will then share their experience acquired during their stay abroad with their colleagues and pass them their new ideas on foreign language teaching and knowledge of the culture of other countries. They will better motivate students to study foreign languages and increase their interest in European issues. This is the basis for intercultural understanding, cooperation and tolerance of different cultural groups. New authentic modern materials and activities used in the lessons will be beneficial not only for their own teaching, but also for the school as a whole and last but not least also for other schools in our region. Our teachers will utilize the knowledge and skills learned in these programs in the future, and not only in their classes, but also in other school activities at home and abroad. They will also benefit from their stay in a foreign country by getting acquainted with its culture and by further drawing on the respective experience. This project represents for us, secondary school teachers from a small town in the highlands, a unique opportunity and a chance to deepen and improve our knowledge, skills and competences in the subjects we teach, and to establish cooperation with various educational institutions of other countries of the European Union. We want to further enhance international cooperation activities of our school in order to exchange our experience and information in various areas of our educational work with a view to their continuous improvement, and thus to contribute to the ongoing process of European integration.
