The project "Roma Youth Participation on the Local Level" follows previous activities of program LERI (Local Exchange for Roma Inclusion) in which partner´s organisations are involved. The aim of the program LERI, which was initiated by Agency of EU for Fundamental Human Rights (FRA) in Vienna, is to secure conditions for better participation of Roma on local level and finally to improve their living conditions. All of involved partners function as the national coordinators or local partners in the mentioned project and they realize activities in two locations in every country. The aim of the youth exchange "Roma Youth Participation in Local Level" which follows project LERI, is to motivate or give an inspiration to young Roma from Hungary, Finland and Slovakia to be active on participating on local life what might finally lead to improving living conditions of Roma on the local level. The program of yough exchange will be focused on strengthening competencies in the field of local activism, leadiing informal group, preparation of projects, presentations of projects/intentions, building partnerships and realization of international initiatives. The groups of young Roma are led by the partners of the project - EPIC Non-profit Organization, Slovakia, The Center for Roma Dialectology in Finland and Association of Roma Minority Representatives and Spokespeople of Nógrád County.
