Social exclusion nowadays often leads to poverty, conflicts and insecurity. In order to tackle it we shall identify which are the problems that are cause of social exclusion and afterwards, it's needed to find how to face this problem and these struggles, fostering dialogue among governments, international communities and civil society to find ways and solutions. The main theme of this TC will be focused on raising society awareness of the opportunities to have a more inclusive society and to discover the different realities in order to encourage anti-discrimination and to fight against social exclusion within your projects with marginalised groups. The idea of this project is born to meet a need express by youth workers who work in the field of social exclusion with Young people. The activities will be held in Olomouc, 1st to 8th of October 2015. We have invited our partners from EECA countries as well at the EU countries and Turkey to ride as an example of inclusion of all. Lot of the participants will come from areas where they generally (and also personally) face fewer opportunities issue, so we perceive this project as a great chance to facilitate our mutual learning environment.
This project will face the phenomena of exclusion as a matter of necessity related by the boost of social exclusion rate among young people in the European Countries, caused by insecurity in living standards, political and social isolation, feelings of estrangement and unhealthy lifestyles, increase of unemployment rate among young people . Thanks to this training our goal is to raise the skills of youth workers and develop ideas and possible remedies to prevent social exclusion within the society.
The key concepts to be explored are exclusion and its causes, discrimination, skills development, active participation and citizenship and the role of NGO’s and Institutions. Among the social exclusion fighting policies and strategies that are to be explored in our training are: analysis of the social exclusion and factors that influence it, discrimination, empowerment, youth participation versus apathy behavior, active citizenship, local institutions and role of NGO's, EU and local strategies against social exclusion or attitudes towards target groups in need by taking action.
