Renforcer les compétences numériques et linguistiques des enseignants pour favoriser la mobilité virtuelle à l'école primaire
Start date: Jun 1, 2016, End date: May 31, 2018 PROJECT  FINISHED

The town of Marin where the school is located is home to many nationalities thanks to its geographical location and infrastructure. The mayor wants the youth to be part of this multilingual society. Activities in foreign languages contribute to this appropriation of geographic, economic and cultural context. The objective is to make students aware of linguistic diversity and a better understanding of others, to foster tolerance and cooperation between different nationalities. The student becomes aware of his identity, its rich cultural heritage and begins to build as a European citizen. Thus the involvement of teachers and students in this project will increase the quality of teaching, student motivation and thus the success rate at A1.Five teachers have volunteered to participate in mobility activities in Europe. Two teachers will attend formal courses in England to strengthen their language and methodological skills. The third teacher will attend courses organized in Malta, proposed by the Executive Training Institute to enhance his digital skills and provide students with innovative activities. The two others will choose their courses during the first term of the school year 2016-2017.Meetings will be set up to monitor the project: the project was presented to the Director and the Mayor in January 2016.The mobility form was drafted by the facilitator in partnership with partners and participants. Some volunteer teachers have pre-registered nearby European training centers. An appointment with the financial department of the City Council was set to fill the legal and financial entity sheets. The form was submitted to the Mayor so he can sign the declaration on the honor. If the project is selected by the evaluation committee, an appointment will be made between the Director of School, the facilitator and the financial department to sign the agreement. Meetings will be provided to accompany the participants in their efforts before and after European mobility for experience sharing.Sharing this experience with teachers will likely encourage colleagues to participate in a training project and digital correspondence. Thus the involvement of teachers in this project should increase the quality of teaching, student motivation and thus the success rate at A1.
