Removing obstacles to recognition of qualifications

This activity has been implemented within the education Reform initiative of South eastern europe (eRi See) – a regional platform for cooperation in the field of education and training, according to the government agreement concluded among participating countries. eRi See has been appointed as the coordinator of the activities relatedto education and competences in the regional strategy Southern and eastern europe 2020. One of the key cross-cutting issues of the strategy is the workforce mobility. development of national qualifications frameworks is one of the tools to achieve this aim. Achievements: In line with eRi See Work Programme 2014, an eRi See seminar was held in Zagreb in September 2014 on the topic of aligning national legislation on recogntion with standards of UneSCo/Council of europe and Bologna Follow-up group. Main results are upgrading competences for amending national legislative framework on recognition of education qualifications, and a survey on mapping / cross- country recognition prepared by the Ministry of Science, education and Sports of Slovenia.Another ERI SEE seminar on removing obstacles to recognition of qualifications took place in Zagreb, Croatia on 5-6 November 2015. The regional seminar was built on the previous activities of ERI SEE led by Croatia in the area of removing obstacles to recognition of qualifications in SEE regionand on the work within the framework of the Bologna process and the relevant recommendations adopted by EHEA ministers of education at the Bologna Ministerial Conference in May 2015 (the Yerevan Communiqué).
