Religious Diversity and Anti-Discrimination Training Module Development
Start date: Oct 1, 2005,

Partners worked together to develop and test a new training programme covering a range of diversity and anti-discrimination issues related to religion, with subject-specific modules on anti-semitism and islamophobia. The overall project goal was to encourage participants to recognise and respect multicultural diversity, to confront prejudice and discrimination and to generally develop their intercultural skills. Partners benefited from active collaboration with adult educators within community associations, with the developed training course recognised as a means for facilitating dialogue and for the exchange of experiences. Partners were recognised for their achievements when the project was cited as a European Success Story, eventually receiving the ultimate prize (2008 Grundtvig Gold Award). The project has since been developed further with the module subsequently translated into French and German and with handout materials additionally available in Bulgarian, Romanian and Turkish. Most recently the project was awarded First Prize from the BMW Group Award for Intercultural Commitment.
