Five mobilities were carried out over the duration of the project, which fostered the competences of four teachers or speech therapists and the head teacher of the school. Firstly, three speech therapists followed extra training concerning the diagnosis and treatment of grammatical disorders and mutism in children, as well as speech therapy in Down syndrome. The results of the training were extensively discussed with other speech therapists at our school and could be incorporated into their work with our pupils. Moreover, a form teacher took part in a music week in Austria, where she gained valuable new insights that were shared with other colleagues and implemented into music lessons. Lastly, the head teacher attended a seminar about the use of new media by both teachers and students, during which both practical and theoretical aspects were discussed. The new insights were subsequently communicated to the teachers back home, so that new media, such as tablets and PCs, can be used more efficiently in the future as an additional tool for teaching and learning.
