Improvement of road traffic conditions; Tourism development; Social and economical development Achievements: The Romania-Bulgaria Cross Border Cooperation Programme improved accessibility in the eligible area by reducing the travel time. Project Rehabilitation of the Road III-3004 Trastenik – Orehovitza – Road III-137 and Modernization of DJ-544 Urzica Stefan cel Mare, Olt County- MIS-ETC 548, 6.700.000 Euro total eligible value, renovated 17 km of road from Trastenik to Orehovitza, as well as the bridge situated across this road, on the Bulgarian territory. Also, 12 km of county road were modernized in Olt, Romania. The project succeeded in strengthening the institutional cooperation between Pleven and Olt local authorities.
