REDILEM - Regional Development by Distance Learning of SME Managers

REDILEM will develop a system of Distance Learning to improve the lifelong acquisition of skills and competencies, primarily for SME Managers in rural areas, where access to traditional learning environments is difficult. The system to be developed will comprise three learning elements: e-learning, self-learning and regular meetings of self-learning groups of entrepreneurs.Course topics will include SME Management, Technology Management, Company Planning, Psychology, Risk Management and Communication & Control. The materials developed will be presented in all partner languages (SK, EN, FR, CZ, ES & DE) through a dedicated learning site and in paper-based format. The site will act as a common forum where managers, trainers and other personnel can further develop their entrepreneurial skills. Materials, once developed, will be piloted across the target group, in each partner country.Beyond the development of distance learning training materials, the partnership will further design and implement an outline procedure for the establishment of sectoral, local or regional support and consultation centres for SME managers. A further international element will support this, across the partner countries, in the establishment of a European network for the exchange of information and experience.Dissemination of the results is planned through collaboration with public administration bodies, through the use of existing partner networks, through articles in relevant press & journals and through the production and circulation of specialist publicity materials to local and regional SME support agencies.
