The project reconstructs the section 100-130km of the road Salla-Alakurtti. The road is a cross-border route between Russian Federation and the European Union Achievements: The project has reconstructed a 30 km road section between Salla in Finland and Kandalaksha in Russia. It is a road that is central for border crossing between Northern Finland and Russia, and also between Russia and the European Union. This has shortened the travelling time from Salla to Kandalaksha. In the project, the participants have also exchanged experience in road works and reconstruction.
