Aim: Section of the TEN-T Priority project no.6 (ERTMS Corridor D) between Pragersko and Hodoš (border with Hungary) need to be upgraded for speed up to 160 km/hThe basic objectives of the overall project to be achieved with the implementation of individual investment measures within the projects "Reconstruction, electrification and upgrade of the Pragersko–Hodoš railway line for speeds of up to 160 km/h – Phase 1" and "Reconstruction, electrification and upgrade of the Pragersko–Hodoš railway line for speeds of up to 160 km/h – Phase 2. Modernisation of level crossings and the construction of railway station crossings" are: • to electrify the Pragersko–Hodoš railway line, • to provide for axle loads and loads per unit of length for the D4 category – 225 kN/axle or 80 kN/m on the entire Pragersko–Hodoš railway line, • to upgrade the line for speeds of up to 160 km/h, to eliminate level crossings,• to provide for the use of environmentally friendly types of transport,• to improve the exploitation characteristics of the line on the entire Pragersko–Hodoš railway line section,• to shorten journey times, and • to increase the traffic safety level.
