Project title. Recognition in Balkan region: Improving the area of cooperation and trust. Regional meeting of national ENIC-NARIC centres.o Project description: The main goal is to address the need of improving cooperation and transparency of recognition on the Balkans. Mutual trust in the quality of HEIs and HE programs in the region and transparent and modern recognition practices are important prerequisites for international and cross-border student and research mobility. The main objectives will focus on:• Information about other network partners' HE systems, methods and procedures of recognition; quality assurance, NQFs and correspondence to EOF; any other issues of common interest.• Challenges, problems and obstacles in recognition process and ways for tackling them. Discussions on employability of NQFs and the overarching EOF, the European Area of Recognition manual and other tools for academic recognition.• Discussions on the involvement of ENIC-NARIC centres in the academic recognition. Sharing useful information about specific national actions.The project's goal and objectives will be achieved via a two days regional meeting of ENIC-NARIC centres from 12 Balkan states and representatives of the CE, UNESCO and EC. The meeting will involve around 50 participants who will present new developments, share national practices and attend discussions. Up-to-date information will be available during the project implementation and beyond on the NACID website. The agenda will include three sessions. The first one will focus on the current state of national HE systems and academic recognition, NQFs and issues of common interest. Second session will discuss current challenges of recognition of foreign qualifications. Discussions will be focused on topics identified via a preliminary questionnaire. Third session will encompass 2 to 3 discussion groups on issues of common interest with emphasis on possible actions. A final questionnaire will provide feedback.o Target groups: ENIC-NARIC centres and other stakeholders from Balkans.o Impact: wider, transparent and trustful cooperation among Balkan ENIC-NARIC centres with contribution to Europe 2020 Strategy. Withproject addressing common needs and challenges of recognition in the region, benefits will be for all participants incl. authorities, applicants and partners, with regional and European added value.
