ReACTing for inclusion
Start date: Aug 2, 2015, End date: Nov 1, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

“ReACTing for inclusión” is a mobility project developed thanks to the support of the European Commission and the European Voluntary Service (EVS) funded through the Erasmus+ programme. The project, coordinated by the Spanish association ON&OFF in cooperation with the Italian entity YouNet, aims to promote the education of the children and youth of La Rioja (Spain) thanks to non formal learning activities that could promote not only the education of those taking part on them, but also their social inclusion. In order to achieve this one Italian volunteer will be hosted during 10 months in the city of Logroño in order to cooperate with the local activities of the Spanish partner of the project and propose new ones designed by herself and the team of her future hosting organization. Using theater as main tool, the activities developed during the project will offer to their uses new ways of expression and communication that will not only promote their personal growing but also the acquisition of skills that could be needed in their future labor life. Even if most of the activities will be run at local level, they will be developed in English in order to provide to those living on the project area new learning opportunities on this language and an intercultural framework of interaction that could promote values such as tolerance, interreligious communication and intercultural dialogue. Out of these activities to be done on the facilities of the hosting organization of the project (ON&OFF), other public ones will be designed in order to increase the impact of the project at local level and open its benefits to any local community living on a close area (Ex. Public performances, parades, theater plays, etc.). Besides these services and initiatives, those from other countries or not able to take part physically on the project activities will also have the chance to follow them thanks to a blog edited during the project (containing all its materials and outputs) and a final video that will show all the learning process of the Italian volunteer hosted and her evolution. The project activities will be always open to any kind of user (especially children and youth) but giving priority to those with fewer opportunities that could enjoy the benefits of using learning tools such as theater, accessible for any kind of target group in spite of its cultural, social or economic background. Finally, it must be highlighted that the project will not only have a direct impact during its implementation, but will also set the basis of future cooperation between the partner organisations in order to develop potential initiatives towards the improvement of all the communities that will be in contact with the project and especially those living in La Rioja, incrementing the importance of this region at European level and being a reference of the use of new non formal methodologies for youth.
