RATS a multi-lingual culture-eco project

RATS - A multilingual culture-eco project , is a Youth in Action 1.1 project. The exchange include 50 Young people in the age of 16-25 from 5 European countries, Sweden, England, Latvia, Lithuania, & Bulgaria and 13 groupleaders. The venue will be a scout camp; Kopparbo in Dalarna about 200 km north from Stockholm city in Sweden and the date will be during 8 days 6th - 14th of August 2010. The project will be prepared in each country and a pre-meeting will be in Stockhom May 24 - 26. The aim of this project, is to make the young people aware of being a European citizen in a Global world , and make them aware of the Global climate problems. The young people from each country will come together and work with these tasks through relevant workshops. The methods will be drama, music, dance, value exercises, social media skills and discussions about the climat and the Global environment, with the inspiration from the story "The Pied Piper of Hamelin". The objectives is to take this old well known fairy tale and put in a modern Global climate context, and create a modern own musical version of The Pied Piper of Hamelin, wich will be shown in Stockholm at the end of the exchange. By these workshops they will get a non-formal knowledge about each others cultures and the young people will be working with youthpass. Some of the partners have been working together in other projects funded from EU; Socrates 2.1 "On the Edge" and Youth in Action 1.1 "The EYE".
