The preventive and rehabilitation measures of the Day care Centre is being taken at the most early age of children which is the aim of the project. The choice of the planning activities takes into consideration this peculiarity, which defines their content and aim – amendment of mental and physical deficiency of the children, rehabilitation and integration. For this reason a complex package of services and measures are being applied by the Day care Centre in Etropole, which is especially created for this purpose. Through involving local resources – municipal administration, social institutions, pedagogical teams, and society the project helps solving physical and mental disabilities and provides the parents of children with professional support they are of need. Achievements: The project increased partnership between the Lead NGO and the Municipalities of Sozopol and Alpullu.A Health centre for children with disabilities in Chernomorets has been reconstructed. The construction activities include provision of access for children and people with disabilities through an elevator, rehabilitation of rooms and their adaptation for the envisaged therapeutically services, improvement of the energy saving of the building. Specialized equipment for physical rehabilitation hall and manual rehabilitation therapy have been delivered. A multisensory room which stimulates the fines sensibilities of the children has been established. Cabinets for labour therapy, logopedic and social rehabilitation are fully furnished and equipped.A Centre for support of elderly people in Municipality of Alpullu has been reconstructed. Specialized equipment for physical therapy for elderly people has been delivered. The centre was equipped with physical therapy room and hall which is the main facility for improvement of the physical condition of elderly peopleA common strategy with information about social services in two municipalities – assessment of needs of the targeted communities, legislative framework in two countries has been developed and issued as a booklet.On-the spot training sessions in both centres have been carried out and specialists from the centres exchanged their positive practices and know-how in social services.The project has been successfully accomplished in April 2013.
