People all over the world are emphasizing how important it is to understand each other and to take an active role in society. Dfferent EU programmes support and encourages us to accept the differences among us and to come closer and that is why the primary aim of our project PUT YOURSELF IN MY SHOES are: spread tolerance, improve the inclusion of NEETs as social integration, contribute to a better participation and entrepreneurship of youth at local and international lavel. Project adresses specific objective of Erasmus + in the field of youth, aiming to improve the level of key competences and skills of young participants, especially those with fewer opportunities, as well as to promote participation in democratic life in Europe and the active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, social inclusion and solidarity.The 8 days youth exchange among 27 participants in the age 18-21 years old, perfectly balanced in gender, and 3 youth leaders from Italy, Ireland and Slovenia will take place in Carfizzi (KR) from 24 to 31 July 2016, including two travel days. While the APV will take place from 27 to 30 June 2016, again in Carfizzi.Half of the participants will fall in the category of NEETs or young people with fewer opportunities (facing educational, social, economic or even geographic obstacles), while the other half is closely conected with them.The method applied will be based on a learner-centred approact and on non-formal learning methods and intercultural dialogue finalized to the self-development of each participant through the enhancement, above all, of its listening and analysis skills, working and living in a multicultural team/community attitudes and of its participation, creativity and entrepreneurship. Implemented activities will be: ice-breakings, energizers and team building, theatre, drama and storytelling performances, role-playing and team games, simulation games, problem solving, educational and interactive workshops, structured debate sessions, inter-cultural workshops, brainstorming experiences, outdoor activities, video making, intercultural parties, study visits, feedback, self-evaluation and assessment sessions.The project's impact on young participants and local communities is realized when these objectives are achieved and maintained not only the immediate, but in the medium and long term. We expect that the results will impact also on the families and adults closer to the beneficiaries of the project and their peers who are unable to participate directly. Who, thanks to the echo of this exchange, will be encouraged to take part or organize one in the future. Yet the school and other local institutions, associations and all stakeholders will enjoy the positive impact of this project through the production of direct communication and through our websites. However, immediately after the completion of the project participants will be involved in sharing impressions, results and content with all citizens through press releases, seminars, open meetings and dissemination of information materials and promotional products.Participants will develop the following skills and competences (in order of relevance):- Social and civic competence- Cultural awareness and expression;- Communication in foreign languages;- Sense of initiative and entrepreneurship;- Learning to learn.While the long-term impact of project is: -to encourage young people - especially NEETs - to approach employment sector through specific training courses (long-term initiative); -to introduce future employees or unemployed the opportunities offered by NEETs -to outline the social, historical and environmental value of youth -to promote the exchange of good practices among different entities, such as Universities, public bodies, youth organizations and and advocate for a responsible and considerate approach to youth to NEETs - to support youngsters structure their ideas and help them overcome fears and possible barriers through proper planning and organisational attitudes.
