Pushing the boarders- Europeans for sport
Start date: Aug 1, 2013,

The youth exchange " Pushing the boarders- Europeans for sport" is a unique and integrative youth exchange bringing together hearing and deaf young people from EU and SEE countries in order to spend one week in a multicultural group in Bitola, FYROM. In this project we combine sport and deaf world with idea to integrate them with hearing world using sport as a tool to bring closer those young people. We believe that sport can contribute for better integration and cohesion of this group of young people and we will focus also to make sport a natural part of their lives so they will create healthy habits for the rest of their life. The modern and stressed lifestyle is becoming the normal part of today society and we think it is time to make a change. As the name of the project shows, in our opinion sport should be unlimited. We all play the same games by same rules and on this way we bring close deaf and hearing world and emphasize that sport is open for everyone. We believe that both sides will benefit more from this type of project rather than closed for hearing or deaf. On this way we provide them opportunity to integrate, break the prejudice and unite above the differences. One part of the programme will be sport activities, that will be diverse and will help with team building, socializing, communicating and principles of fair play. Another part of the project will be creative workshops where we will motivate participants to express their opinions about barriers in sport and how can we fight them. The final product from this project will be a documentary movie showing the progress during the week, interviewing participants about their opinions, etc. We would like to make this video to spread the idea of unlimited sport to more people than just the participants.
