This project is part of a continuing process initiated by l'Atelier des Initiatives through a youth exchange organised in Nantes in April 2015.With the support of Erasmus +, 8 youngsters from Nantes welcomed 8 youngsters from Rome in their city around the topic of the public space. This first intercultural meeting was as a real trigger for the project stakeholders who are willing to repeat the experience abroad in a different environment and involving other young Europeans. This new exchange will bring together 18 young Europeans and 5 group leaders: 6 youngsters from Spain including 3 from Corvera and 3 from La Caridad (Asturias), 6 youngsters from Nantes and 6 youngsters from Roma. The partners structures have already identified the participants, all aged between 18 and 25 years old and with a practice or a strong interest for the public space.Convinced that an intercultural exchange is a great educational lever, this action aims to:- Provide the opportunitiy for young people to live their first experience of mobility and use artistic and physical expression as a facilitator of meetings and exchanges.- Cross the visions and the practices of the youngsters in the public space in a new and rural environment in order to encourage the youth participation in every territory. - Keep developing the synergies already initiated with the partners structures to expand our fields of action and skills while developing a common professional culture. This project is divided into 3 phases:- The upstream preparation: The design of the project by the youth, with the support of the partners and the preparation of each group before the intercultural meeting.- The intercultural meeting (26th of August to 1st of September): The youth exchange, organised in Llanera (Asturias), will be punctuated by exchanges with local actors, discoveries and artistic workshops linked with the public space. - The assessment and dissemination on return: The evaluation with the participants and group leaders followed by the dissemination on every partner territories. This exchange is based on the combination of three European partners:- L'Atelier des Initiatives, an association based in Nantes (France) from the non-formal education, which supports young people in the development of their project. At the initiative of this project, the organisation is in charge of the coordination between the partners and of the financial and administrative management.- CEMEA del Mezzogiorno, a non-profit organisation based in Rome (Italy) working for a new and active education. Partner since 2015, the organisation brings its expertise in intercultural exchanges.- La Caracola, a non-profit organisation based in Las Vegas (Spain) and member of the Spanish network Creando Futuro. The organisation is in charge of the logistical preparation and of the reception of the meeting.Together, we collectively build the project with young people involved as well as the contents and animation methods. In the short and medium termw, the expected results of this project are:- The development of new local and European initiatives by the youth and the affirmation of their role as citizens.- The capacity reinforcement and skills building of the teams followed by the dissemination of this experience to other local project leaders. In the long term, the aim is to strengthen the partnerships and to foster the networking between structures supporting youth projects at the European level.
