The project will be realised by teachers from Samorządowy Zespół Szkół in Złoty Stok; in a town with a huge problem of unemployment and with a big number of citizens threatened with social exclusion. The main aims of the project are inter alia:
a) improving the competence of teachers and their professional development;
b) the need to adapt the working methods to the conditions, opportunities and needs of the current youth;
c)raise the prestige of the school in the region.
There will be three teachers participating in the project, who agreed for that, as they wish to improve their professional develompent. Among the group there will be coordinator selected.
Main activities include trips to the methodology trainings to one of the European countries, meetings in the subject teams and interdisciplinary as well as with the representatives of local authorities to discuss the progress of the project.
Participants will use all means and technologies ( such as the Internet, interactive board, local press) that are available.
Amongst the expected results are primarily the improvement of the teachers' competence, the improvement of the workshop and the use of news in your daily work, what is expected to improve students' results. Moreover, it will motivate students to harder work, which gives them the opportunity to learn abroad. It will also be kind of motivation to other teachers- they may desire to try prepare a similar project in the future.
Besides, realisation of such a project will be one of the elements that distincts our school in the region and again, it makes other teachers from our institution follow us in the future.
One of the potential long-term benefits will be attractiveness of our school in the region. Although our institution is the only one of its kind in the community, we have more and more students that comes from outside the perimeter. We also hope that the international projects will make an even greater number of parents choose to bring children to our school and beyond their communities.
